The Stillorgan Park Hotel has undergone a four-phase programme of development since being purchased by the Pettitt Group in 1998, it used to be a PV Doyle hotel in the past. Since the original purchase of the hotel, an initial investment of IRL £9 million was put in place to develop the hotel from a small rural hotel to a very competitive premium city hotel. The hotel originally started as a small hotel under 100 rooms and has developed quickly to meet growing accommodation and conferencing demands as a number of international companies start moving out of the city centre. After their initial, substantial investment, they developed one of the largest conference and banqueting centres in Dublin offering the latest and most sophisticated technology. In the same year the hotel was awarded the AA Four Star classification and Excellence Ireland Hygiene Mark.
